This soup is my mom’s recipe. Mutton leg bone soup contains lot of calcium. Calcium is essential for bones and teeth. This soup is good for the people who suffer from knee joint pain. I was suffering from knee joint pain and my mom recommended this soup. I had this soup weekly once for 3 months and now I feel much better. Here goes the recipe…
- Mutton leg bone – 500g
- Shallots – 15
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Wash mutton bone; add it in a pressure cooker.
Add shallots, garlic and cumin seeds and 3 cups of water to the mutton bone.
Cover the pressure cooker, bring it to heat and cook for 20-25 minutes on low heat.
Once the pressure released, transfer the soup into a serving bowl.Add salt and pepper and serve hot.
